The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures…. ICE agents don’t get to kidnap someone, from a coffee shop parking lot, without reasonable suspicion or probable cause. The Fifth Amendment guarantees due process…. Holding someone against their will while refusing to tell them why, or denying them access to contact anyone, is a constitutional violation

BREAKING🚨🏳️‍🌈 The woman who led the weeks-long torture and murder of Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old trans man, just pleaded guilty to every single charge — with no plea deal, nothing in exchange. Precious Arzuaga, 38, is expected to be sentenced to life. Sam was from Minnesota. He had met Arzuaga online — outlets described her as his online girlfriend — and bought a round-trip plane ticket to upstate New York in September to see her. He was due to fly home in October. He never got on the plane. Instead, prosecutors say he was held captive and tortured for weeks before he died in February 2025. His body was found discarded in a field in the Finger Lakes region. Investigators say Sam endured horrific abuse before he died, beaten by punching, kicking, and striking him with sticks, dog toys, rope, bottles, belts, canes and wooden boards. He was sexually assaulted with a table leg and a broomstick. Prosecutors say Arzuaga also coerced a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old into participating. A state police captain with 20 years on the job said it was the most horrific crime he had ever investigated. The local district attorney called it the worst thing they'd ever seen. Prosecutors called Arzuaga "pure evil." Seven people were charged in Sam’s killing. Police said it did not qualify as a hate crime. Another defendant, Emily Motyka, already pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and kidnapping, while others still face charges. Sam's sister Kayla sat through Friday's hearing and didn't buy the show of remorse. "She wasn't guilty when she was raping him and beating him and starving him. She didn't feel guilty then. I don't believe she feels guilty now." Then she said the thing the whole country should hear: "I want the world to know Sam Nordquist's name. He was a genuinely good person and he did not deserve this. My poor brother. He was just a baby." His mother put it plainly. Sam will never have another birthday, another holiday, another family dinner. He was 24. He was loved by everybody. Rest in power, Sam Nordquist.
