Journalist Oliver Darcy discovered that an image of Karoline Leavitt with “Waddle” the turkey, taken around Thanksgiving, was the subject of a White House purge campaign after it was deemed too unflattering to remain available for the public to see. The Associated Press and Getty Images eventually removed the image from the internet after a concentrated pressure campaign from the White House. The picture depicts Leavitt with a double chin and a turkey in frame. It is an inarguably hilarious shot that anyone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously would be able to look at and laugh at, knowing that nobody is perfect from every angle. But Trump is obsessed with the appearance of women and only finds value in women if he deems them to be attractive, which has led to the women in his administration subjecting themselves to a repulsive plastic surgery regimen while his subordinates carefully control the images that the public is allowed to see.
