BREAKING: Elon Musk has announced that Tesla will begin winding down Cybertruck production in mid-2027, after sales fell catastrophically short of expectations. Tesla originally planned to produce 250,000 Cybertrucks annually. According to Electrek, sales are now running at roughly 10–12% of that target. Musk claims the move is to make room for increased production of Tesla’s Cybercab. But critics aren’t buying that explanation. JerryRigEverything, a prominent tech reviewer, reacted: “Tesla closer to imploding than I thought. Mothballing whole factories to make imaginary products is wild.”
WINNIPEG’S FORGOTTEN HISTORY: THE DJ WHO DISAPPEARED INSIDE AN OSBORNE VILLAGE NIGHTCLUB. This is one of the most unsettling and unusual stories in Winnipeg’s recent history. On October 12, 2002, 21year old Eduardo Sanchez known locally as DJ Phonosys, disappeared after a night out in Osborne Village. Eduardo was a local DJ, and his disappearance left his family, friends and police searching for answers. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Eventually, more than a year passed without anyone knowing what had happened to him. Then, on December 5, 2003, the Winnipeg Free Press published a headline that would bring the mystery to an end: “MISSING DJ’S BODY FOUND IN NIGHTCLUB.” Eduardo had been found inside the building that formerly housed Die Maschine Cabaret. According to the reports, investigators discovered him concealed inside a narrow cavity between two walls. The nightclub had continued operating while Eduardo’s disappearance remained unresolved. Police reportedly found no evidence that he had been forced into the space, and the exact circumstances surrounding his death remained unclear. Today, that same building at 108 Osborne Street is home to Anytime Fitness and Club Cabana. Think about that for a moment. A building many Winnipeggers walk into today has a history that most people probably know nothing about. Behind the businesses, renovations and changing storefronts are stories that have become part of Winnipeg’s history. Eduardo Sanchez deserves to be remembered as more than a headline. He was a 21year old young man whose life ended in circumstances that remain haunting.
