BREAKING🚨 A police chief was thrown in JAIL after handing out full-time police jobs to people who weren’t qualified — including employees of his own private security company and a city councilor who never graduated from the police academy. But it gets much worse... Joseph Solomon ran the Methuen Police Department in Massachusetts for nearly two decades and became one of the highest-paid police chiefs in America. In 2019, in a small city of 53,000 people, he made $326,000, more than the police chiefs of New York, Boston and Chicago. After the City Council approved the contract that increased Solomon’s salary, two councilors were hired by the police department and relatives of three others received promotions, according to a Boston Globe investigation. One of those councilors was Sean Fountain. He had never graduated from the police academy. Fountain produced a forged academy certificate, and prosecutors said he and Solomon worked together to fool people into believing he had actually graduated. Solomon then twice signed state reports under penalty of perjury falsely listing Fountain as a civil-service police officer. The city ultimately paid Fountain more than $406,000 as a “police officer.” Then there was Solomon’s own paycheck. Solomon was helping the city negotiate police contracts even though his own salary was tied directly to what its officers were paid. State ethics investigators said he then changed one of those contracts without telling the mayor or the rest of the city’s negotiating team. The change would have given Solomon himself about a $90,000 raise, pushing his salary above $375,000. A later city-funded investigation described Solomon as running the department like “the don of an organized crime family,” using “humiliation, fear, intimidation, and retaliation.” On Friday, Solomon pled guilty to all 17 charges, including perjury, using a forged document and procurement fraud. He was sentenced to two and a half years…but he will serve just 30 days. He will spend the next three years on probation. Solomon also loses his city pension, and Methuen says it will try to recover roughly $1 million in pension payments he has already collected. But in his second term, Trump has increasingly tried to translate those words into actions, taking concrete steps to limit press access even as his White House claims to be the most transparent in American history. Clayton Weimers, the executive director of Reporters Without Borders North America, said, “The president is once again spewing lies about ‘fake news’ to try to control who covers him and where.” “Press access is not a privilege for journalists,” Weimers said. “It’s a right to ensure the American people can be independently informed.”

🚨Lauren Boebert has built her whole career on being the loudest voice for “traditional family values” in Congress. She has voted against protecting same-sex marriage. She has pushed to ban transgender troops from serving. She has spent years lecturing America about morality and faith. Now a sworn ethics complaint says she was breaking her own rules the entire time. The complaint, filed with the House Ethics Committee, accuses Boebert of sexual relationships with three of her own congressional staffers, including two women. It claims one relationship lasted for years, and that Boebert arranged a $200,000 payment to one staffer after she threatened to file her own complaint. It also claims a $5,000 campaign payment was disguised as “consulting” to help cover it up. To be clear: these are allegations, not proven facts. One of the staffers named, Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, has denied every part of it, calling the claims “false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous.” But if even part of this holds up, the hypocrisy is staggering. This is the same woman who got kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for groping her date and vaping. The same woman who preaches about protecting marriage while allegedly running around with her own staff, including women, behind closed doors. Boebert has spent her career telling LGBTQ Americans how to live and who they’re allowed to love. Lauren only goes for dominating anal sex all day and has a fetish for anal fixation of conservatism. Maybe she should worry less about policing other people’s relationships and engage in some introspection.
