BREAKING🚨 Trump's State Department says it has revoked more than 300,000 visas. It just handed brand-new ones to Flávio Bolsonaro, a Trump ally running from his own country's Supreme Court. On Monday, Brazil's Supreme Court ordered Flávio Bolsonaro, the right-wing candidate who lost Sunday's presidential election to Lula by more than four million votes, to surrender his passports within 24 hours. It also barred him from leaving Brazil. The deadline passed at noon Tuesday. He didn't turn them in. At 10:50 that night, Bolsonaro, his wife and their two daughters crossed a bridge into Argentina. Forty minutes later they boarded a private charter to Guayaquil, Ecuador. The plane left Ecuador minutes after it landed. By 9:30 Wednesday morning they were on the ground outside Miami, climbing into an SUV under umbrellas. A senior State Department official had already announced the U.S. would issue visas to the whole family. Trump called them "fine people" and said "It would be OK with me." Bolsonaro is under investigation in two Supreme Court cases. In one, he's accused of using a sports betting company to launder money taken through fraudulent deductions from senior citizens' government pensions. In the other, he's accused of taking millions of dollars from a disgraced banker. He denies both. He's also demanding the election be annulled, even though his own Liberal Party has recognized Lula's win. The same State Department claims it has "zero tolerance for foreigners here on visas who break the law." In January it froze immigrant visas for people from 75 countries, mostly in the Global South, until a federal judge struck that ban down in August. It also revoked the visa of Brazil's own ambassador to the United States, Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti. Bolsonaro's brother Eduardo already lives in Texas. In June a Brazilian court convicted him in absentia of illegally lobbying the Trump administration and sentenced him to four years and two months, and a warrant has since been issued for his arrest. Their father, Jair, fled to Florida after losing in 2022. He is now serving a 27-year sentence under house arrest for attempting a coup. Lula, who turned 81 on Tuesday, said a man who secretly leaves his country does it "because he is liable for something." If you appreciate my posts, it would mean the world if you followed my page.
