BREAKING: Pentagon Pete Hegseth is casting a boy-band of jacked, clean-shaven troops to sit pretty for his big speech – slim waistlines and “impeccable” grooming required! 🙄 The Secretary of War Crimes has turned his upcoming “State of the Force” address into a personal casting call for the most photogenic soldiers in the military. A scoop by the Wall Street Journal reveals commanders have been ordered to nominate service members who meet strict waist-to-height ratios, pass fitness tests, and display “impeccable” grooming and uniform standards – “no exception.” The chosen few will also get the privilege of working out with Hegseth himself in an exquisitely manly fashion as sweat glistens on their bulging biceps. 💪 Candidates for the unprecedented honor must be top-rated performers with “strong presence” and serve as “role models” (not to mention just “models”). In other words, no “ordinary” troops allowed. Only the ones who look the part for the macho man secretary’s photo op. This comes a year after Hegseth summoned the nation’s top generals and admirals to Quantico to lecture them about “no more beardos” and “fat generals.” Now he’s applying the same aesthetic filter to the rank-and-file audience for his next speech. While the U.S. military is dealing with real strain from Trump’s endless conflicts, depleted stockpiles, and recruiting challenges, the Defense Secretary is focused on making sure the people sitting in the chairs look sufficiently jacked and clean-shaven for the cameras. Warrior ethos, apparently, now includes looking good enough to share a gym selfie with Pete. To be sure, is a little nutty and a little creepy, but we have also to consider the question of priorities. Hegseth is doing such an outstanding job as Secretary of War Crimes that Republican Rep. Thomas Massie is preparing impeachment papers. At the same time, he is overseeing Trump’s grinding, endless dead-end quagmire in Iran while painting a false picture of military readiness as stockpiles dwindle, troops are stretched thin, and supply bases are destroyed to the American people. And yet, with all of that burning in the background, what is gym boy Pete focused on? Making sure the audience for his speech looks jacked, clean-shaven, and camera-ready – complete with a personal workout session for the chosen few. While the wars drag on and the institution he leads shows real strain, Hegseth is busy casting extras for his own homoerotic warrior fantasy. Rome is burning. Pete is checking waistlines.
