BREAKING🚨 Truth Social just started selling Wall Street traders early access to his Truth Social posts for $100,000 a month — the same posts he uses to announce tariffs and wars. Trump Media & Technology Group rolled out the service, called Truth API, on Saturday. Paying subscribers get the platform's biggest accounts milliseconds before everyone else, with a cheaper $60,000-a-month tier also on offer. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn described it in the launch release as a licensed real-time feed of the platform's "most market-moving Truths." Trump's account, with 13 million followers, is by far the largest on the site. He is also the largest shareholder of the company, through a trust controlled by Donald Trump Jr. In high-frequency trading, a few milliseconds can be worth millions. "It's insane," one Wall Street executive said, speaking anonymously out of fear of retaliation from the administration. "I can say for myself and 200 of my friends in finance, we're not getting anywhere near this. In another administration, this would be considered criminal." Twelve other major finance players — brokers, hedge fund managers, investors, refused to talk about it publicly at all, some saying the risk of ending up in Trump's crosshairs was too high. Renée Jones, a Boston College professor and former top SEC official, says the offering appears to violate insider trading law, because non-public information is being used to hand certain traders an unfair edge. "So if the president's Truth Social posts are being monetized, and if some people get special access to them, that's misappropriated information," Jones said. She also pointed to the 2012 STOCK Act, which bars the president from trading on privileged information. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff wrote to the SEC this week demanding an investigation, calling it "an outrageous abuse of the President's office for his personal benefit that undermines everyday investors and the integrity of our markets." The SEC declined to comment. Company spokeswoman Shannon Devine said critics "must have invented a new theory of 'insider trading' based on publicly available information," and accused lawmakers of pressuring businesses to boycott a public company. And this is the small version... Congress is about to vote on a bill that would legalize Trump's multi-billion dollar crypto grift. And good news! John Oliver just made a new segment about it that is a MUST watch: https://bit.ly/4wCmmut
