BREAKING🚨 A federal appeals court just BLOCKED Trump’s Ballroom — calling Trump a “TEMPORARY TENANT" and "NOT THE OWNER." On Friday, the D.C. Circuit did way more than pause construction. In a 2-1 ruling, it said Trump cannot demolish a historic, taxpayer-built wing of the White House, replace it with a 90,000-square-foot ballroom, and then claim Congress has no say because the wrecking ball already moved. Trump announced the ballroom in July 2025 while promising to work with the proper preservation groups and respect the history of the White House. By the fall, the entire East Wing had been torn down in just THREE DAYS. The judges noted that no president in American history had EVER privately raised money to destroy a major part of the White House that Congress authorized and taxpayers paid to build. “Until now.” Even the government’s own review found the ballroom would permanently alter the historic grounds, dominate the east side of the White House and throw the building’s design out of balance. Trump’s team tried to wrap the project in national security by pointing to bunkers, medical facilities and military installations underneath it. But the court allowed that underground work to continue. What it blocked was the ballroom, which we all know is the only thing Trump cares about. The most revealing piece was the legal argument underneath all of this: Trump’s administration claimed the courts had no power to stop him, even if he was acting without lawful authority. The majority wrote that is “utter lawlessness.” For now, the White House is not Trump Tower. It belongs to the American people.
