The news comes after MS NOW ran a story revealing that agents on Vance's security detail are completely "fed up" with the Vice President's demanding, exploitative behavior. A highlight of that story was the revelation that Vance abused his powers to plan a flight with his son on a Marine Corps helicopter for a golf lesson, which was later canceled. But the Vances have regularly used the chopper to travel while hunting for houses to buy. It's a waste of not only the agents' time, but our tax dollars. “The detail is tired of them not giving notice on things and making everything an [off the record],” said one person familiar with the mood amongst agents. “[Vance] thinks he can still move around like a U.S. Senator. “ The Defense Department estimates that use of the helicopter costs between $16,000 and $24,600 per hour. Imagine what your family could have done with that money if the Trump administration hadn't taken it and wasted it on Vance. According to MS NOW, the helicopter incident is part of a "building morale problem inside the team of agents assigned to shield Vance and his young family." The report cited administration officials with knowledge of Vance's schedule and "another person." Several agents have voiced concern about Vance using them to plan trips that were described as "inappropriate" and an "unprecedented use of government resources." The Vice President is said to make "last-minute travel demands" involving his wife and he expects "royal treatment" for his family. “That is RIDICULOUS,” one person with knowledge of the planned golf trip said in a message. “Pence and Harris never pulled anything like that," one individual with knowledge said to MS NOW of the golf trip. “They change everything,” said another. “They don’t stick to their schedules, and that costs shit-tons of taxpayer money.” This pattern of behavior is perfectly in keeping with the MAGA political ethos. These people don't believe in public service. They see government work as an opportunity to line their own pockets and live lavishly off our dime. Vance gave up every shred of morality and decency that he ever had to get this job. Now, he's living like a hog and punishing anyone who exposes him.
