BREAKING: MAGA senator sparks OUTRAGE by calling for New York City's Mayor Mamdani to be arrested and sent to Guantanamo For calling an internationally indicted war criminal exactly what he is, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is now facing calls from a sitting United States senator to be sent to Guantanamo Bay. Alabama Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville demonstrated his fascist sympathies when he declared that Mamdani would eventually "do something more stupid than what he's done," at which point "we will finally say enough is enough, go put the handcuffs on him... and send him to Gitmo." Mamdani's actual crime in Tuberville’s disturbed mind? Calling Benjamin Netanyahu an "architect of genocide" — a man under an active International Criminal Court arrest warrant accusing him of exactly that. Mamdani's administration determined, after legal review, that New York City lacks independent authority to execute the ICC warrant itself. Rather than pretend otherwise, Mamdani did something refreshingly honest: he called on the FEDERAL government to join the ICC and enforce it. "Benjamin Netanyahu is not welcome in New York City, nor is any other war criminal at large," he said plainly. The backlash was instant, ugly, and revealing. Congressman Randy Fine (R-FL) called Mamdani — who is Muslim — a "terrorist." Fine demanded he be denaturalized and deported, joining a chorus of threats against Mamdani's citizenship that Trump himself initiated last year. It’s a marvel that Fine didn’t call for the New York City mayor’s castration as well. Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) called Jewish New Yorkers who voted for Mamdani "self-loathing" and baselessly linked him to violence against American women. Even Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) piled on, smearing Mamdani by suggesting that he sympathizes with terrorism. Trump, meanwhile, made his priorities crystal clear on Truth Social, declaring Netanyahu "will not be arrested... in any way, shape, or form" — not because of due process concerns, but because Netanyahu is "fighting against" Iran. Let that sink in. A U.S. senator wants an American mayor sent to a notorious torture prison, without trial, for using his constitutional rights to free speech to criticize a man under international indictment for war crimes. Meanwhile, the actual indicted individual gets a personal guarantee of protection from the president of the United States. We’re living in Bizarro world, folks! Since America isn't officially party to the ICC, nobody expects Trump to arrest Netanyahu, particularly when he himself may be eventually indicted by the international court for his own war crimes, like bombing fishing vessels without public evidence of any crimes, kidnapping the leader of a sovereign country, and targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran. But a growing number of Americans increasingly see exactly what Netanyahu has done in Gaza as the genocide that it is — and see exactly who's willing to name it.
