Stephen Fry is 68. His husband Elliott is 38. And to anyone who has a problem with that - Stephen says "sod off". Appearing on ITV's "The Assembly" - Fry was asked what he says to people who take issue with the couple's 30-year age gap. His answer was pretty sharp. "I feel a bit sorry for them. I don't see why they should have such an opinion about things," he said. "The only thing that should matter in a relationship is love and if you feel it" - felt on both sides, he stressed, and never exploitative. He also shut down any assumptions about power dynamics. "In our relationship, Elliot has all the power, really," Fry said, adding that Spencer "makes a lot of the decisions." The two met at a house party in 2012 and were married just ten days after announcing their engagement in 2015.
