BREAKING: A Black college student has been found hanging from a tree in Mississippi just days after Charlie Kirk was killed, and there’s been almost ZERO mainstream media coverage! 21-year-old Demartravion “Trey” Reed was found hanging from a tree in the center of campus at Delta State University. While rumors circulate that Reed had broken limbs, the police claim that there is no evidence of foul play “at this time” and declined to elaborate why they believe that’s the case, but did say there is an ongoing investigation. Bolivar County Deputy Coroner Murray Roark told the press that “I don’t think I should probably discuss this any further than that, my opinion is that it was self-done, and I have reasons for that.” Social media isn’t buying it, believing that it can’t be a coincidence that a Black man was found hanging in the middle of a college campus just days after prominent right-wing college campus activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated. “Demartravion “Trey” Reed was lynched & cops say ‘no foul play.’ A Black man hanging in 2025 isn’t an accident. Mississippi is notorious for being a hotbed of lynchings in the post-Civil War days. From 1877 to 1950, Mississippi ranked first in nearly every category—most lynchings (581), most multiple lynchings, most per capita, most female victims, most victims taken from police custody, most lynchings without arrest or conviction of mob leaders, and most public support for vigilantism. Since 2000, at least 8 Black men have been lynched in Mississippi. While it's possible this may be a tragic suicide, it’s hard to not fear the worst considering the circumstances. We need a full investigation by the FBI to ensure that this wasn’t foul play — but of course, under the incredibly racist Trump administration, they’re more likely to cheer his death than expend any effort to getting to the bottom of it.
