mui advice to u is to get in touch with ur resilience in the next little whil u may need it - get some fishing supplies if u live near a water source get some foraging books for your area and don’t count on our current way of life to survive it was never guaranteed for $80 on amazon u can get a few starter fishing kits pop a worm or wood bug on and cast a few lines so u can have protein while hundreds around u are starving like learn how to find bait (turn over a rock) learn how to clean out a fish put a hook on etc and most of this stuff u can figure out on your own if you are hungry and dont forget the license in my area its $21 for an annual tidal fishing license honestly I would not know what to do with really small mackerel maybe throw them back in but there is a gorge about 10 min walk from me I could eat from it would be gross but better than starving to death or spending 90% of my income on illuminati carbs/bugs

good starter or to use along with your rod -a rod is not as expensive as it sounds you can get good starter kits with rod line and tackle for about $78CAd or $45 USD like you do not need to bait live worms like you can even use corn or hot dogs if you are new to fishing or have issues with that stuff
