The Facebook syntax was stolen from the Hi5 site which still exists. The historical origin of the Facebook and the Hi5 indicates that Hi5 was created first, unfortunately Hi5 creators did not belong to the American favored and powerful sect and the Facebook thief did. The rest is history although dishonestly suppressed.
