Sadness -a reflection ... By Rev. Dr. Shaun A. Delage of the Church of Techno

Essentially one could be sad for a time in their life for doing something negative to others or having something negative done to them, or it could be more far reaching like mental illness or a karmic sadness essentially something you have done in another life that carries onto this one (essentially you have no control) Sadness is something that some people discover once a week, a few times in their life or daily for some people….it is your choice to be sad about things be it the world or yourself or others…pretty much most of my meditation is devoted to reversing sadness and negativity so it is not an emotion that I can preach on fluidly but one I can relate to in somebody in life.
My life was not all beauty in the forest and love and animals and a calm life, actually I am very fortunate to be where I am now, but quite a few times in my life I discovered real true and profound sadness and the way out of it is essentially one’s own responsibility. There is quite a bit of stuff in my life I feel guilt or tremendous sadness over and I am reminded of it daily in my meditations it seems a new event crops up for me each day to reflect on for a few moments, a time when I may have hurt somebody or when somebody did something unforgivable to me, and it is a strong emotion to go through.
I have found that meditation directly eradicates sadness 97% that is ninety seven percent and along with sadness it also eradicates anger, hostility, ill feelings towards somebody and also opens up your heart for forgiveness, because essentially what we are seeking in sadness, or guilt for example is to be forgiving of one or be forgiven by another
Truth is, some people do stuff to others that is just plain evil…but you can literally make yourself sick thinking about it – which is why a clear mind meditation and positive affirmations help to ease the pain a little and will go farther than any drink or toke will take you.
People are sad by all sorts of things, be it the state of the world, their family, their crimes, their addiction, abuse, misguided sexuality, mistakes, misunderstandings, and great and profoundly negative things done to them.
Sadness is a topic I would rather not write about because I am not sad at all and have not felt that emotion for quite a few year’s thankfully but like I said it is an emotion that emulates a strong desire in myself to be able to give people tools to battle it….of course a given is some pretty hardcore techno lol affirmations, treating yourself to a popsicle, lighting some incense and a candle and reflecting on what an entirely whole and good person you are or can become or some grounding walks or meditation in the forest and one I have grown to understand quite recently is listening to the world around you – it is an important step in realising you belong here and you matter and an interest in the world around you.
I hope I have helped you
